This problem comes about as a result of a design issue affecting the GPU and CPU. Microsoft are maxed out and are having to send consoles half way round the world to have them fixed, this means you being without your console for 5-6 weeks. While they are repairing some that are out of warranty it is not easy to get them to agree to effect a repair.

We have found a way to fix these machines and modify them so the problem does not come back. Our turn around time is days rather than weeks and our repair price is highly competitive at just £49.99 including postage back to you. Here is how it works:

You send us your console and power supply, please be sure to insure it as standard Royal Mail insurance is only for £34.00, we can not be held responsible for items that are damaged on their way to us, if your console is lost or damaged by Royal Mail or other courier on it's way to us it will be your responsibility to claim for it.

We will repair your console and apply a modification to ensure the fault does not return. This service is to rectify the "red ring of death" problem only - we will not perform any other repairs. If your console shows any other faults it will be returned to you without being repaired, you will be liable for the cost of return postage. Just for clarity the "red ring of death" is where you turn on your console and get the 3 red LED's coming up and nothing else happens.

Once your console has been tested we will return it to you with Parcel Force on a 48 hour delivery, the cost for return postage is included in the fixed price repair - currently just £49.99.

Current lead time is approximately 3 working days, this can vary, we will give you a closer estimate at the time of booking. The lead time for repair is in addition to the time required for postage.

Please note that opening your xbox will make the Microsoft warranty void, there is a seal that has to be broken to get in to the box. This is not an issue for a box that is out of warranty but may be of concern if your beox is less than a year old.

We can fix over 99 per cent of boxes that exhibit the 3 red led faults, if your xbox can not be reapired we will contact you to discuss options.

We will not repair or return consoles until the cost of repair has been received in full.
